A Must-Have Item for Kids & Long Traveling

If you’re just now joining us we’re doing a prep for a road trip series – it’s basically the stuff I’m using right now (We’re in the midst of a cross country road trip to see family).  I’m reminded of this fave toy:

We were introduced to this little guy, named Squirmles, last year when a friend gifted it to Katarina. Oh the tricks you can do with this simple, soft, little guy. It kept her entertained for hours on end.

Fast forward to Christmas time. At the dollar store, we saw a knock off of Squirmles – turns out they’re made under many different names: Wiggly worm, Fuzzy worm, Magic Twisty Worm… we like Squirmles best. Sam & Anabelle bought each other one and they’re still playing with it.

One of the best features of this maintenance-free pet? When you’re showing it to guests, it doesn’t get obnoxious. You reach out to pet it and…
It gets very shy.

If you have a car trip with passengers over the age of 3, I highly recommend searching for one of these cute little guys. Although, I’ve been warned not to feed them after midnight. Hmmmmm……

I’ve been debating on trying to fit in a small road trip. I love reading about your adventures. Thanks for all the little hints! Have fun!
