Banana Splits & Moving

It’s hot right now.  If you’re craving a perfect summer craft and something yummy consider making the original banana split.

All part of a contest for who could make the yummiest new dish back in 1907, Ernest Hazard took a long dish with a peeled banana, 3 scoops of ice cream, a shot of chocolate syrup, a dollop of strawberry jam, a few bits of pineapple, some whipped cream, ground nuts, and TWO cherries on top.

I don’t know about you but the strawberry, pineapple, and two cherries part of the banana split was news to me!  Plus the fact that it was invented in the winter in Wilmington, Ohio but celebrated in June (for the bananasplit festival of course!).

On a personal note, we’re still in the moving process and will be for a while.

Pro to Moving:

Finding things you’ve been looking for FOREVER!

Con to moving:

Finding things that just should not have been there. Ever.
